While everyone else in the world are trying to keep their chilly booties toasty, we're stripping down and cooling off in our mama's pool. It's hot, friends, and it's winter. To even mention global warming, with 80 degree weather dominating December and January, would mean to admit that the polar bears are fucked, and our houses'll be under water before the mortgages are paid off.

Since it's almost all over, let's enjoy the music. Here's our list of best concerts taking place around town this week.

Wednesday, January 16

Paul Rodgers. 8 p.m. Hard Rock Live, One Seminole Way, Hollywood. Tickets cost $44 to $72. Visit hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com.
After watching former Bad Company's former singer Paul Rodgers, you may, for some funny reason start feeling like making love. One of the best singers of all time, according to the world via a Rolling Stone poll, this guy's gonna probably give some good singing gone, well hopefully, not bad.

Canceled: Riot Wednesdays. 10 p.m., Green Room, 109 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Facebook invite is here.

This week's edition of the rockabilly, punk night at Green Room features live rock and roll by The Prescription and Hot Whiskey, and spinning vinyl by DJ Jet Decklin. Since this night aims to be the perfect mid-week event in the tri-county area, there's a taco bar, $3 PBR tall boys, $6 shots of Jack, horror movies, and video games. Truly a big boy's playground.
