Two words: Jacuzzi Boys. One of our favorite Miami bands is making the trek up to Palm Beach County to help ring in the New Year at a killer block party. Planet Disco NYE Block Party on A1A. 9 p.m. along A1A on Fort Lauderdale Beach. No cover.
Block parties are all the rage for celebrating this New Year's Eve. So much so that Fort Lauderdale is having not one, but two of them. Just steps away from the sand, the A1A strip is turning back to the clocks to the 1970s for a serious Saturday Night Fever-esque extravaganza. And if you feel so inclined to take if off the streets, Exit 66, Dirty Blondes, and a handful of other bars are having disco theme parties. While those events will require tickets, spending the night under the stars won't cost you a dime. So, break out those platform shoes and do the hustle into 2013.
