Top Five Cheap 2013 New Year's Eve Parties in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach County

Categories: Things To Do

New Year's Eve Block Party on Clematis Street. With Jacuzzi Boys, New Coke, the Resolvers, Casey Hopkins Duo, Astrea Corp, Killmama, Parallels, and more. 8 p.m. in the 500 block of Clematis Street, West Palm Beach. General admission tickets cost $10. Visit Ages 21 and up.

Two words: Jacuzzi Boys. One of our favorite Miami bands is making the trek up to Palm Beach County to help ring in the New Year at a killer block party. Joined by a slew of other local acts like Astrea Corporation, Casey Hopkins Duo, and New Coke, we are betting this event will be totally unforgettable.

This year's theme is war of the worlds so be prepared for a serious alien invasion -- i.e. waking up with a drunken stranger who's invaded your bed.

Karaoke Party. With Freddy the Karaoke Guy. 9 p.m. at the Dive Bar, 3233 N. Ocean Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. No cover.

Do you really love karaoke? Well, now's your chance to sing your way into the 2013 with your closest friends or a bunch of tipsy strangers all for the low price of zero dollars.

We know, it's crazy. A NYE party that is completely free! We couldn't believe our eyes and ears either. So, get those vocal chords ready! Bonus: There's going to be free jell-o shots all night long.

Planet Disco NYE Block Party on A1A. 9 p.m. along A1A on Fort Lauderdale Beach. No cover.

Block parties are all the rage for celebrating this New Year's Eve. So much so that Fort Lauderdale is having not one, but two of them. Just steps away from the sand, the A1A strip is turning back to the clocks to the 1970s for a serious Saturday Night Fever-esque extravaganza. And if you feel so inclined to take if off the streets, Exit 66, Dirty Blondes, and a handful of other bars are having disco theme parties. While those events will require tickets, spending the night under the stars won't cost you a dime. So, break out those platform shoes and do the hustle into 2013.

Thanks for the inclusion and covering us throughout the year. We're really excited about tonight.

Just an update: We've had to postpone the bouncy ball drop due to some complications. There's been some concerns regarding safety. On the plus side, we have 1000 bouncy balls at our disposal and will be using them for other things (including hopefully a ball drop on a different night).

Happy New Years everyone.

We provide insurance cover for everything from cars, vans and motorbikes to homes and offices, but it's our marriage of modern technology and good old-fashioned customer service that keeps us one step ahead of the competition.
