"All I want for my birthday is a big booty ho." Indeed, 2 Chainz. Well said.
In fact, over half the the lines in the artist formerly known as Tity Boi's magnum opus "Birthday Song" are new personal mottos of ours. Forget Y.O.L.O.: "When I die bury me inside the booty club." That's a line to live by. No Joke. We would love to haunt a booty club.
Upon first hearing "Birthday Song" on underground station 89.1 FM the Streets, we were delighted to hear its integrity preserved with all the dirty words loud and clear. The DJ rewound the verses so many times that he took a five minute song and made it over 15 minutes long. We memorized practically every lyric by the time he was done. It was amazing. Never before had an artist captured the inner-monologue of a 25-year-old male as eloquently and as accurately as 2 Chainz's "She got a big booty, so I call her Big Booty." Come on now.
Then the music video came out, and everyone at work and Facebook was talking about it. From clown-beatings to 2 Chainz's "caught-in-a-spider-web" dance -- every second of the song juxtaposes incomprehensible yet memorable images with similarly incomprehensible yet memorable lyrics. That old guy drinking 40s and dancing like a sex machine, anyone would be lucky to have him sitting by the fridge at their house party. Smoke machines, cake, ladies of all booty sizes, quintuplets... The only thing stopping it from being the most amazing birthday party ever was its lack of ponies. They could've used a few more ponies.
This tune is perfect for all occasions. Weddings, bar mitzvahs, funerals, christenings, you name it. Want to celebrate getting a raise? "Birthday Song." Need to vent in the car before you commit some crimes you'll soon regret? "Birthday Song!" You'll never feel more goofy and badass at the same time.
Move over "Cha Cha Slide," there's a new sheriff in town.
