In case you hadn't heard, the final Obama-Romney debate prior to the 2012 presidential election is taking place in South Florida. This is very exciting news for news nerds and tropical politicos.

But for those who need their politics with a spoonful of sugar, Rock the Vote and Xbox present you with a Neon Trees debate co-party at Mizner Park Amphitheater. Right down the street from the oratorical beatdown at Lynn University screaming fans of the two candidates, live music, and video games will be lulled into electoral ecstasy by the alt dance rock quartet and L.A. hip-hop DJ Skee.

The band hits the stage at 7 p.m. and everyone will be able to view the debates from the concert at 9. If you're not local, the concert will be streaming live all over the world for those who have an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. The show is expected to reach around 40 million members worldwide via Xbox, and RTV hopes to register 1.5 million new voters. The event is free if you RSVP at RockTheVote.com. This is a perfect opportunity to knock out your concert and civic duties in one fell swoop.

The event is also hosted by Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Boca Raton. Neon Trees from 6 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Mizner Park Amphitheater in Downtown Boca. Call 561-544-8600. The elections take place on Nov. 6.
