|Get boozin' to Chuck Loose's new act on Friday at Propaganda.|
Here's another reason we heart him -- the charming name for his latest excellent act, Severe Disappointments. With a name like that, you can't complain about potential letdown. Fortunately, the three tracks Loose has released via his SoundCloud page are quite excellent slabs of punk rock 'n' roll.
Thanks to vocalist Trish Mahoney's sassy midrange, the track "Blame You," especially, sounds like something dug from the vaults of X. That is a very, very good thing in our book. The lineup here is rounded out by two other names familiar to longtime scene survivors, Slim Biscayne on bass and Jeff Hodap on guitars.
It's unclear if this is a band proper or a for-fun project, but you can check the act out live this Friday, when it shares the stage at Propaganda with similarly minded new act the Instant Whips as well as the stoner metalish Black Seal and witch-house act Symbols. Stream all the Severe Disappointments tracks below.
