Buzz Bake Sale: Staind Out, Awolnation In

This man is not Aaron Lewis.
The tone of the 2011 Buzz Bake Sale lineup has changed significantly in an instant: Staind has canceled a string of tour dates due to illness, including its headlining appearance Saturday at Cruzan Amphitheatre. But take heart, Buzz Nation. The gaping hole at the top of the lineup has been filled by an arguably more current and compelling act in Awolnation.

If there was ever an act to be fueled by the energy drink Red Bull, it's this one. Not only are the songs off the group's debut, Megalithic Symphony, charred and fierce post-electroclash blasts with a hint of soulfulness via vocalist Aaron Bruno -- but Awolnation is actually signed to Red Bull's record label.
Here's a blast of a song that reveals that Bruno is like Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic's caffeinated evil twin who does nothing but listen to Electric Six.

And this, perhaps Awolnation's signature song to date was apparently inspired by the Styx classic "Come Sail Away" -- in lyrical content only, we'll add.

Buzz Bake Sale 2011. With Awolnation, Seether, Chevelle, Hinder, Everlast, Adelita's Way, art of Dying, Middle Class Rut, Falling in Reverse, One, and more. 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, at Cruzan Amphitheatre, 601-7 Sansbury's Way, West Palm Beach. Tickets cost $20 to $40 and go on sale Friday, October 14, at 10 a.m. Click here.

They were good live, but Staind is the reason why Bakesale sold so many tickets. It sucks for people who bought tickets to the show just to see Staind and couldn't get there money back. Unfortunatly since Staind's name isn't on the ticket people aren't obligated to a refund or return. Unlike the shows in Orlando and Atlanta that were rescheduled, South Florida won't get a make-up date and that reflects badly on Staind.
