MP3: Four Tracks From LLLR's Transcendental Medication

​Nelson Hallonquist's creative output knows no bounds. The Palm Beach County kingpin of noise, ambience, and all forms of electronic disruption is the president (and also a client) of his own label, West Palm Beotch. We spoke to him recently when he put out Weird Wives' debut full-length and experienced his German-rock outfit Universal Expansion at Death to the Sun III at Snooze Theatre in Lake Park.

But for his latest cassette release under the LLLR name -- which he uses for a trippy solo project that has stood for Lesson Lesson Lessen Relearn in the past but is now Low Level Lazer Radiation -- he has hooked up with Miami imprint Augurari. Titled Transcendental Medication, the hourlong project is up for preview. 

"This is easily the finest, most interesting example of LLLR thus far," Hallonquist writes. "Psyched out minimal American electronic music straight from the wastelands of south eastern Florida." And that should tell you plenty. The slow-building synth melodies never aim to harsh your mellow. They move like the organs inside your body -- rhythmically, methodically, and in full appreciation of one another.
