Chris Cornell Has the Flu, Postpones Fillmore Miami Show

Categories: Concerts
Chris Cornell has fallen on a black day and can't acoustically shred at the Fillmore Miami tonight. Live Nation reports that laryngitis caused by flu is the reason for the cancellation.

This bug has been bothering him for a few days now. Back on November 2, he tweeted, "Caught cold from my kids - have larayngitis - so sorry to nashville fans - will make it up to u as soon as I can."

It's a shame, because this temperate Miami weather would probably do wonders for clearing the mucus out of his system. But we digress. Judging by his touring routing, which is pretty much booked up through December 17, it's going to be a while before a rescheduled date hits. Feel better, Mr. Cornell!

From Live Nation:
Due to laryngitis caused by flu, Chris Cornell is unable to perform tonight.  He apologizes to his fans who traveled to see him perform, but tonight's show at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach must be postponed.  A new date will be announced as soon as possible.  All tickets for tonight's show will be honored at the rescheduled date.  Refunds are available at point of purchase.  Please go to for more information.
Chris Cornell. 8:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6 at Fillmore Miami, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Tickets cost $35.50 and go on sale Friday, September 23 at 10 a.m. For more information, visit, or The Fillmore's official website.

Such a shame, but would much rather have a Cornell singing like a dying old man than have a Cornell singing like a sick dying old man. As much as I love CC, he's a terrible live vocalist Reed :/

Clearly you haven't heard his new album songbook and have no idea what you're talking about.  Please enlighten me with a live-rock-performer with a better voice?
