Bleubird Funding "Pimp Hand" Video With Kickstarter Project

​In preparation for his new album,Cannonball!!!, hometown hip-hop hero Jacques Bruna, AKA Bleubird, has turned to Kickstarter to help fund the filming of his music video for "Pimp Hand."

With the earnings, Bleubird will join forces with Chris Hill of Digital Cypher Photography to film the music video on a vintage Canon 1014 xl-s camera using only Super 8 film. The duo wants to get back to the basics before the digital age of instant gratification and pay satirical homage to the era of blaxploitation films. As Hill describes it, "To keep the raw, gritty feeling that you get while watching such great '70s films."

As with any Kickstarter project, Bleubird will be providing donors with an assortment of colorful rewards for putting up some funds. For $1, your name will be listed on his website; for $250, you'll receive a whole slew of goodies including your own personal plush version of Bleubird, and things get really wild at the $1,000 donor level.  

With just under a month left to go -- deadline is December 13 -- the account has raised $1,100, an astonishing amount for such a short period of time. But it's not enough, folks. So reach in your pockets, break open those piggy banks, and throw some of those dolla dolla bills at Bleubird.
