Video: This Heart Electric's "Escape From L.A." Is Lisa Frank's Satanic Samba

This-Heart-Electric-Bleeding-Palm.jpg
Miami's Ricardo Guerrero, known otherwise by the moniker This Heart Electric, has provided his music for a new video assembled by creative collective Bleeding Palm for the song "Escape From L.A." We took a gander and were not at all weirded out by it, like at all.

For starters, the song is great. It's a lo-fi acoustic diddy, reminiscent of Charles Manson's solo works, specifically the songs found on Grey Matter. The vocals are sung at a repeated, catchy tune as it catches hold into your brain, cementing itself deep within, much like the teachings of the Manson Family cult.

Keeping with this bizarre notion, the video's imagery channels into cosmic energy rays, the kind that demystify the secrets of the universe in the manner akin to LSD, as portrayed in this painting by Alex Grey:

As the sections involving the cosmos pass, we are brought to old footage of samba-style dancing with rainbow-colored skulls and degloved faces superimposed over the original shots.

Further spanning across space and time, we are presented with scenes of fly girl-style dancers. Being brought to the '90s, this instantly recalls memories of grade school-era folders coated in Lisa Frank stickers. Between shots, the viewer is graciously served hearty portions of pixelated rainbow-colored screen wipes, ending finally with a choppy shot of the beach, the same place where we began this adventure.

After viewing, the only acceptable response should be "Dude."
