Video: Dirty Dem's NSFW Sampling of The Office

Don't lie, you totally shed a tear last week during loveable fop Michael Scott's final episode of The Office. It was a sad day at our favorite fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin indeed.

We bet Dan "Dirty Dem" Duarte was a little choked up too. Although that's not entirely evident in this snarky video -- with its pithy verses, chocked full of expletives directed at the former paper sales boss -- the Coral Springs' emcee is an admitted fan of the show.

The rapper tells us he always had the idea of inking a song about his experiences doing outside sales, but could never find the right beat to propel his rhymes. The light bulb went off once he heard the piano intro to The Office. With the help of producer friend Phillip Drummond, Duarte makes excellent use of the song's sprightly staccatos here.

Duarte proves he's a cocksure rhymer with a great amount of comicality behind his sharp tongue too. Dirty Dem is his first solo outing after  previously taking part in now-defunct hip-hop group Word Perfect. Make no mistake, Duarte's got the skills, winning many a rap battle -- most recently taking home a bronze at the '10 Miami Emcee Olympics. Duarte also heads up the South Florida chapter of battle rap club and hip hop promotions company Grind Time Events.

It's also worth noting that County Grind shutterbug, Ian Witlen shot the video. Witlen told us that he filmed and directed the party time clips last year at a friend's apartment and realty office and the plan was to release it shortly thereafter, but Lil Wayne beat them to the punch with his rendition. (In our opinion, Dirty Dem makes better use of the sample.) With the departure of our boy Michael Scott, Duarte saw it as an opportune time to release the track. It can be found on a 15-track mixtape called Office Music, which will be available for free download at grindtimenow.com.
