Spred the Dub Brings Roots, Rock, Riddim Every Monday to Reef Road

South Florida roots purveyors Spred the Dub have built up a large local following with their deep-dubbing gooey goodness. Now area "Spredheads" have a regular night on which they can count to hear this local quintet spread the irie vibes: "Reggae Mondays" at Reef Road Restaurant and Rum Bar.

We couldn't think of a better way to end the three-day weekend tonight than to visit this laid-back bar on Clematis Street in West Palm.

There is more good news for local reggae set: Spred the Dub has sealed up yet another West Palm residency, at City Place club BB King's. There, the band is scheduled to take the stage the last Thursday of every month. (That means you unfortunately just missed out on its most recent gig, on May 26, but also that you have plenty of time to clear your schedule for the next show on June 30.)

Additionally Spred the Dub will appear on a compilation disc called The Reggae Wave that is being spearheaded by pop reggae bad boys Inner Circle. The disc will consist of the top like-minded South Floridian acts (including Roots Shakedown, Jahfe, and Fourth Dimension) who will each be granted the opportunity to record two songs at Circle House Studios in Miami. Apparently, they are even working out details to tour this summer in support of the album.
