I love BSS beyond words, we have infinite memories together, early morning, mid days gazing away, and nights studying or relaxing ;)They make any day better, aside from having an amazing crew (leslie feist :coughcough:), they've innovated and progress with their sound. Although for any novice at BSS and low tempo I'd recommend their self titled lp, You forgot it in people, and the TO BE YOU AND ME ep.<3 i will go this saturday so excited xD

"Handjobs For The Holidays" reminds me of the first... ah, nevermind.

in 2007 I saw the film "Lie with me" about a sexually aggressive and ravenous pair in some pretty hot and explicit scenes. It was a fairly amateur production leaning largely on the ridiculous amount of almost porn worthy sex. I wouldn't normally have given this film a second thought but it was while watching that I heard a most amazing track. Lover's Spit drew me in and allowed me to feel free to identify with what was happening with the characters on screen and not feel like I was just watching some skin-a-max late night special. I went on to collect each of BSS albums and find that their music effects me in some personal way each time I listen to them. I'll never forget that film and will be forever grateful for introducing me to Broken Social Scene. I want to go to this show super bad!

I saw BSS at Ted's Wrecking Yard in Toronto in 2001. Their sound has evolved a lot over the years, I think for the better, but even at that time, it was clear that this was an exceptional band. I have seen them a few times over the years, but never again in Toronto. It is always memorable to watch a band play at home. I'm not sure why. I think there is more of a connection between the crowd and the band; a shared history. I am from Southern Ontario, but I live in Florida now. It would be great to see them again, so far from home.

My favorite memory of Broken Social Scene is actually my frist memory of them. They were performing down in Pompano over at Club Cinema. My friend Marcela is a big fan of them and she randomly invited me to go (cause she obviously needed a ride since she cant drive lol) . I would hear them on Last.fm a bit so I only knew a few songs by them. The show was incredible, I don't think I've ever seen a performance by band so passionate about their music until I saw BSS. After that day, I've been a huge fan ever since. Thanks Marcela <3. I think she needs a ride again lol.

My favorite BSS show memory is that last year I got to see them on my birthday! It was an awesome show. It was the first time I ever heard "Sweetest Kill" and I am so excited that it is on their most recent album. I just moved to Jacksonville from Dallas and unfortunately they are not coming to North Florida, but I would totally drive to Fort Lauderdale to see them if I win free tickets!
