Should we just rename the column "Two-ving Units" already?

​In our Moving Units column, Mike Ramirez at Fort Lauderdale's Radio-Active Records graciously keeps us up-to-date and comments on the current releases flying out of his store each week.

Quoting Ramirez: "What's up with the number 2 this week?!?!" We agree 200 percent about that. Apparently record buyers like sequels to their favorite albums just as much as they do with films. Find out which records duked it out to become the New Moon of Radio-Active's box office after the jump.

Radio-Active's Top 5 Releases for March 23-29:
1. Serena Maneesh - No. 2: Abyss in B Minor (4AD) "Quite possibly my favorite album of the year so far next to Beach House's Teen Dream."
Which albums will we be talking about next week?
"We have the highly-anticipated Dum Dum Girls' I Will Be release off of Sub Pop. [Yet another sequel,] Erykah Badu's New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) (Motown/Universal) is getting a lot of buzz. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion just released a best of compilation, Dirty Shirt Rock 'n' Roll: The First Ten Years (Shout Factory!) and more Nick Cave reissues on Mute (1988's Tender Prey, 1990's The Good Son, and 1992's Henry's Dream) to brighten up your day!"

Now is the appropriate time for the Broward-Palm Beach Crossfade staff to chime in and advocate that readers investigate number two in the week of number twos, Wooden Shjips. Not only does these psychedelic experimenters flout traditional spelling, but they're way into claymation at its trippiest.
