Ronald "Mr. Biggs" Isley to Stay in Federal Prison

Categories: News

This isn't surprising but yesterday, an appellate decision upheld the 37 month prison sentence that R&B legend Ronald Isley of the Isley Brothers is currently serving for federal tax evasion.
A three judge panel disagreed with arguments that Isley,66, is too old and sick for such a lengthy sentence. Many have questioned why Isley was sent to the slammer for so long in the first place considering his health is in poor condition, he's battling cancer, and he's obviously got plenty of financial punishment that's attached to his conviction as well. But judges deemed that his chronic tax evasion tactics couldn't be overlooked.
So Mr. Biggs will remain in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he currently resides.
Isn't it crazy that Mr. Biggs would wind up in prison before R. Kelly who has been under investigation for almost a decade now and still hasn't seen the inside of a prison cell yet?
