Cozy up to some single malt this weekend.
Finally, a tasting event that Don Draper himself would approve of. And really, what better way to commemorate you and your special someone burning your way through all four seasons of Mad Men on Netflix this summer than with a Glenfiddich tasting at Morton's, the Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale.

The swank event is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and will include four tasting rounds that match various maturity levels of scotch with the appropriate hors d'oeuvres like blue cheese tenderloin crostini and petite filet mignon sandwiches. The cost is $45 per person, plus tax and tip. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Birdies for the Brave wounded military outreach program. Call 954-467-9720 for reservations, or book your ticket online at eventbrite.com.

Five Summer Wines for Cougars

Categories: Sips
Calling all cougars: It may not be high season, but there's no shortage of women on the prowl in these parts. Here's our list of wines we've noticed among your favorite sips. And if you really want to coug it up, you may get a little crazy and add ice. See something new to you? Not to worry. You won't have to shop far to find them.

1. Freixenet Elyssia Gran Cuvee. Cava, Prosecco, and Cali sparklers are the stylish ladies' go-tos that show they subscribe to Bon App and know a little something about food and wine (or rather what was trendy five years ago). The most exotic of the three, this cava -- the name translates to "a state of perfect bliss" -- exudes notes of honey, melon, and, um, nuts.

2. Rombauer Chardonnay. Here's a relatively pricey, oaky Chardonnay for sugar mommas and rich bitches who choose wines like their men: big. (Tie: Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. It's for cougars who consider CVS the local wine shop and -- like those lovable flannel-wearing hipsters -- are nostalgic for all things retro: in particular, their '90s heyday.)

Participants are able to sip, savor, and taste up to several wines as Kinney compares and contrasts a new category of vino. The topic changes weekly, often covering a specific region, country, or varietal.

The folks over at Grey Goose Vodka sure know how to party. Every year, they kick off the summer with a series of (trend-a-licious) parties -- "Summer Soiree Series" -- throughout the country and, more important, with summer-inspired cocktails.

Tomorrow's the summer solstice and this year's official launch. We're happy to say that they've gone retro, tapping into the inner child in all of us. Say hello to the adult-friendly spiked Popsicle!

We've got your first look at the recipes before they come out. Extremely fun and simple, all you need is a freezer and the goose juice. But, if you're still too lazy to make them yourself, you can find them exclusively at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach starting tomorrow.

P.S. The Popsicles are especially great for your own summer soiree!

The oppressive summer heat is settling on South Florida in earnest and the snowbirds have all but vacated our region, making it easier for locals to hit the beaches and enjoy some of that tropical paradise everyone's always raving about. As anyone who's felt the mysterious exhaustion of having spent a few hours lazing surfside and doing absolutely nothing can tell you -- you gotta hydrate or that sun will kick your ass.

Of course, water is the number-one choice to nurse your poor body back to a semblance of health, but what to have as your "side car" to the H2O? Below are five of the best summer drinks to cope with a subtropical summer and suggestions on where to rehydrate in Palm Beach and Broward:

Booze-free doesn't have to mean boring on St. Patrick's Day.
We won't patronize you with finger-wagging lectures about the importance of safe and sober driving -- particularly on notoriously boozy holidays like St. Patrick's Day -- but suffice it to say if you're lucky enough to have a buddy volunteering to act as your designated driver for an evening of debauchery, he  deserves to be rewarded well for his efforts to keep you and everyone else on the road safe.

Hanging around with a bunch of tipsy "It's OK that I spit up green beer down the front of my shirt -- I'm 1/18th Irish" types can be a trying ordeal for someone who isn't partaking in the alcohol-soaked shenanigans. Show your appreciation for your DD by keeping him well supplied with festive, booze-free libations for the duration of the evening. Below are four suggestions:

Click here for the first 101 cheesy, sexual innuendo jokes.

Schoolyard humor aside, a micro-bottler from Pompano Beach wants you to enjoy his Mr. Q. Cumber -- a 90-calorie soda, flavored with cucumber extract. Owner of Global Beverage Enterprises, Jeff Kaplan, asks: Why ruin a perfectly good meal by choosing a traditional high-fructose soda? Let's face it: Other than the widely popular Coca-Cola or Pepsi products, indie sodas aren't as easy to find -- even from local bottlers like Kaplan.
