Now that the big news of Funky Buddha Brewery's grand opening date of June 1 has been announced, the brewery needs some hired hands to run the joint.

The brewery is currently seeking bartenders, wait staff, and back-of-house staff. Individuals must be energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a passion for craft beer. Industry experience is always a big plus. Unfortunately, they are not currently hiring any brewery positions.

Can you cook and serve like a ninja?

If you prefer to work in the shadows and get the job done without ever being seen (and you're looking to get some extra mileage out of that Halloween costume), have we got the gig for you.

Ninja Spinning Sushi Bar (41 E. Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton) is looking to open in early November and they're still seeking servers, a host, bartender, and busser. The only requirement (well, not the only requirement) is that you're a ninja of sorts. Call 917-951-9915. The restaurant originally was to open earlier this fall but the licensing process has taken longer than expected, as it always seems to do.

Buddha Sky Bar Is Expanding, Hosting A Job Fair Saturday and Sunday

Buddha Sky Bar - the chic third-floor rooftop sushi spot in Downtown Delray - is expanding into the first floor space beneath it with a slightly altered concept called Buddha Garden - and they will be hiring an entirely new staff to run it.

Ever since the giant Buddha statue went in just off Atlantic Avenue, its face pointed east toward the ocean, Buddha Sky Bar has been successfully serving up fusion Asian cuisine, fresh sushi, and posh cocktails with a view of the skyline under a glass arboretum.

Downstairs is a different story. Several restaurants have opened and subsequently closed in the space beneath the rooftop establishment, despite the prime location in the heart of Delray Beach's bustling restaurant district.

Where to Work: Best and Worst Restaurants Chains

​This month, the Restaurant Opportunities Center United ranked nearly 200 national restaurants in an effort to alert consumers where they can go to patronize more socially conscious chains. The report is also a shout out to the growing numbers of workers in the hospitality industry. 

Restaurants are graded according to five criteria: 
  • Advancement. If 50% or more of its employees have ever moved up in a position.
  • Tipped Wages. An employee earns more than $5 an hour aside from tips.
  • Untipped Wages. An employee earns $9 or more an hour.
  • High Road Restaurant. A restaurant belongs to ROC.

Most restaurants earns zeroes in each category including Starbucks, California Pizza Kitchen,Cheesecake Factory, and Chik-Fil-A. A handful eke by with an offer of paid sick leave. After the jump, the best and worst chains for employees.

Racks and Table 42 Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar is hiring line cooks who can work weekends, who have culled experience on the line, and thrive in a high pressure environment. Apply in person from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and wear interview duds.

Michael's Genuine seeks line cooks, porters, and servers with two to three years' experience. Apply Tuesday through Fridays in person from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I'm riveted by Chipotle's jobs campaign, since I don't think of opportunity in the form of a wrapped burrito, presented in a thunk of rice-stuffed tin foil. But I may be the anomaly, considering that even Willie Nelson works for Chipotle. The job fair is this Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. For more information, check it out here.
