Cooking Up Color in the Kitchen
Whether we cook or just know how to order take-out, most of the world wants a high-end kitchen -- blame Cribs. Here's your chance to watch chefs host demos with some of the latest and greatest in luxury kitchen products at DCOTA. Starting at noon, live demos will be held throughout the showrooms and will feature chefs Michael Shikany from his high-end namesake eatery in Wynwood and Todd Lough from Oceans 2000 on Fort Lauderdale beach. RSVP required. Visit dcota.com.
A Walk on the "Wild" Side
Farm-raised animals tend to be less nutritious and contribute to huge environmental issues -- in commercial farms, at least. Try your hand at nature's best at Publix Aprons Cooking School on Thursday. At 6:30 p.m., the school's staff is preparing a menu of all wild foods paired with fine wines. Dishes include mushroom pâté, honey roast duck breast with hazelnut green bean salad, seared salmon with new potatoes and dijon broth, and berry panna cotta. The cost to attend is $45.
