Tuesday

Twenty Twenty Grille Presents Funky Buddha Brewery Beer Dinner
Food and beer go well together. But it's even better when it's really good food and really good beer. On Tuesday, Twenty Twenty Grille and Funky Buddha are coming together for four-course meal featuring creative eats with one of South Florida's favorite brews. The dinner takes place at 7 p.m. The cost to attend is $50. Visit facebook.com/events.

Vegan Spain
When thinking about Spain the first things that come to mind are probably Iberico ham, Serrano ham, and cheese -- not vegan cuisine. There are, however, some animal product-free dishes that hail from the Iberian peninsula. On Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Whole Foods Market in Fort Lauderdale is hosting a vegan Spain cooking class. For $20, guests will learn how to make tasty cruelty-free meals while drinking Sangria and wine (Sangria is one of the recipes, obviously). Registration is required. Visit wholefoodsmarket.com.

Wednesday

Ladies & Lagers
Women drink beer, too -- contrary to popular belief of sexists and the closed-minded. On Wednesday at 7 p.m. Riverside Market is teeming up with Fort Lauderdale Woman's Club for a class about all things craft beer. Ten bucks gets you entry to the class, a Sam Adams beer, and light bites. All proceeds will be donated to the Fort Lauderdale Women's Club. Visit facebook.com/riversidemarket.

Happy Hour With Heart
No reason is needed for after-work drinks -- a long day is a perfectly fine excuse. Sometimes, however, it's nice to feel like your doing good while engaging in the usual weekly routine. On Wednesday at 6 p.m. Himmarshee Public House is combining the happiest hour with fundraising for Broward Parnership for the Homeless. For a $25 donation at the door ($20 with advance ticket purchase), guests receive one free drink, complimentary appetizers, and warm and fuzzy feelings for doing something to help. Visit facebook.com/events

Community Head-Shaving Fundraiser
While it's become a look for some, losing your hair is an unpleasant thing to go though. St. Baldrick's Foundation and Akerman are hosting a community head-shaving fundraiser to raise awareness for kids who have lost their locks due to chemotherapy. The goal is to raise $60 thousand for childhood cancer research. Taking place at Duffy's Sports Grill in West Palm Beach on Wednesday, the day kicks off at noon with a live broadcast until 2 p.m. by ESPN Radio's Josh Cohen. Around 4 p.m. over 30 volunteers, as well as Akerman lawyers and staff will start lining up to shave their heads. Akerman and St. Baldrick's are encouraging donations for the event. Visit duffysmvp.com.

Hands On Mozzarella Making
As much as you love gorging on it, you probably never thought you'd be able to make your own cheese. Well, queso-enthusiasts, your chance is here. On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Cheese Course in Plantation is hosting a hands on mozzarella making class. For $30, expert cheesemongers will be helping you to make your own ball of sweet and salty goodness. Visit thecheesecourse.com.

Thursday

Grand Opening of Bocce Wine Bar & Tapas to benefit Paws for the Cause
Here's your chance to mix your love of animals with your love of getting the scoop on the newest restaurant. On Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Bocce Wine Bar & Tapas is pairing it grand opening celebration with a benefit for Paws for the Cause of the TriCounty Humane. For $10 in advance, $15 at the door, attendees get one Bocce signature cocktail, wine, or beer and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Visit itrulycare.com/events.

Science on Tap
No matter which way you slice it, can tend to be a mindless activity. If you're looking to get in on a more stimulating conversation (about something other than the teenage suing her parents for child support), your opportunity has come at O'Shea's Irish Pub on Clematis Street. Starting on Thursday at 6 p.m., the restaurant is bringing in experts from South Florida Science Center and Aquarium to host a science cafe. For the first event, Dr. William Bosking, member of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience and senior neuroscientist at Max Planck will explain the complexities of visual illusions and what we can learn from them. The event is free to attend. Visit osheaspub.com.
