Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in Delray Beach This Weekend: Meat the Hotdoggers

Mat McBane
The Wienermobile. Seen around town.
In this age of politically-correct food and organic farm-to-fork dining, we'll share our guilty pleasure.

The hot dog.

Sorry, Farmer Joe. Your beautiful produce is great, and we love a good heirloom tomato, but every now and again, we get a hankering for a hot dog, resting in a white bread roll, slathered with plenty of yellow mustard. That's called comfort food at its best. Which is why the thought of having our picture taken with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile gives us a frisson of pleasure.

If the thought of taking a "selfie" with the iconic Wienermobile brings tears of joy to your eyes, you're in luck.

It's making an appearance in Delray Beach this weekend (along with stops in Miami).

If you love hot dogs, by the way, you'll want to "meat" the Hotdoggers. They're the group of 12 recent college grads who are chosen to drive the awesome hot dog-shaped vehicle across America. Each one has an awesome name (like Kacee Con Queso and Sam Ham). If you're obsessed with meat-tubes and would like a "bunderful" opportunity to see the U.S. (their pun, not ours), visit HotdoggerBlog.com for more info.

In any event, "ketchup" with the Wienermobile at these locations. You'll have a totally cool photo op and even get one of those neat Wiener Whistles to take home (insert leer here):
