Five Best Food & Drink Events in South Florida This Weekend: Champagne, Green Beer, and More

Categories: Things To Do

4. WellFest Delray

Yes, we love burgers, fries, and all the other symbols of gluttony. But sometimes we prefer to eat something healthy. On Saturday and Sunday, WellFest Delray is bringing a wide range of salubrious eats, seminars, and activities. Taking place at Delray Center for the Arts at Old School Square, the two-day event is attempting to inspire and motivate attendees to stay positive, eat well, and improve health. The cost to attend is $15 per day or $20 for the whole weekend. Visit

3. Imbibe at Stache Happy Hour Launch
Everyone else might be all into mold colored beer and and getting wasted for the next couple of weeks, but, you, fine friend, are too sophisticated for such low-brow shenanigans. You seek out the finer things in life. This Friday at 5 p.m., Stache 1920's Drinking Den is kicking off its new happy hour program with $99 bottles of Krug Champage, $25 per glass (it's normally $275/$55), Ruinart Rose bottles for $75, glasses for $17(regular price is $175/$26), Ruinart Blanc des Blanc bottles for $50, with $12 glasses (usually $155/$24), half-off all cocktails, $5 select craft beer, and free passed appetizers. The bar is teaming up with Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center in addition to other partners. Visit

2. Slainte Pub Crawl

When it comes to drinking, the Irish are at the head of the pack. So it should come as no surprise that a Paddy-themed pub crawl is bound to be good craic. On Saturday, from 6 p.m. to midnight, the Lake Worth Pub Crawl is going green for St. Paddy's Day. Starting at Brogues Downunder, participants will be given a map to the drinking stops along the way. The cost to attend is $10. Visit

1. Downtown Hollywood St. Patrick's Day Parade

St. Paddy's Day is almost here. To get revelers ready for the big day, downtown Hollywood is celebrating with a parade, starting at noon on Saturday at Hollywood Arts Park. The day includes the obligatory pipe and drum bands, and U2 tribute band. While we're more than happy to jam out to some live music, for us, its all about the street vendors with Irish food and drinks -- and, obviously, green beer. There is no cost to attend, food and drinks are available for purchase.
