The Galt Mile Wine & Food Festival returns from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday with unlimited wines, craft beers, and spirits as well as food tastings, live cooking demonstrations, wine explanations, and more. 2. Time Travelers Weekend at the Florida Renaissance Festival
If you're into fancy dress (of any time period) - and fried turkey legs-- here's your event. On Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to sunset, the Florida Renaissance Festival is bringing its steampunk costume contest and fashion parade to Quiet Waters Park. The cost to attend is $20 for adults, $9 for kids 6 to 11, and free for kids under 6.
2. Second Annual Mardi Gras Mania
Enjoy four days of live bands, stilt walkers, fire jugglers, magicians, fireworks, and more, February 28 through March 4. On Fat Tuesday, sip on $3 Hurricane drinks, and pretend you're in NOLA at the Cajun buffet in French Quarter Restaurant 5 to 9 p.m. Listen to live entertainment in the Grandstand from 7 to10 p.m. before wrapping the night up with the fireworks display.

Dinner theater is fun - just don't choke on your mahi while you're laughing. Laffing Matterz is kicking off its new season in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with Laffing Matterz: With a Vengeance.
While you take a stab at your lamb shank, the comedians will skewer everything from Obamacare to global warming to Paula Deen. Think of it as Saturday Night Live but with more singing and less sucking.
