Extremely Rare Tapping of Bruery Kegs at Tap 42 on February 25

Coming up at the end of the month, on Tuesday, February 25, at 7 p.m., Broward's upscale beer bar and food hangout Tap 42 will host one of the season's most interesting tap takeovers: six rare beers from indomitable barrel-agers the Bruery.
The Bruery produces relatively small batches of beer. Though you can find bottles of their releases on local shelves, they are in large format (750ml) and usually in the $20 range. The Placentia, California-based brewery produces, on average, 10,000 barrels of beer annually. In the grand scheme of things, that's not a lot. Cigar City Brewing produced about 30,000 barrels in 2013, while one of the bigwigs, New Belgium, produced more than 712,000 barrels.
We can thank Tap 42's craft beer maven, Lauren Bowen, for the opportunity. After much back and forth between brewer and distributor, the cards are falling into place for this rare event.
What are we to expect on this "Black Tuesday"? How about kegs of Chocolate Rain (a variation of Black Tuesday, a bourbon-barrel-aged stout, with the addition of vanilla beans and cocoa nibs), White Chocolate (barrel-aged wheat wine with cacao nibs and vanilla beans), Melange #3 (a blend of three bourbon-barrel-aged strong ales: White Oak Sap [a wheat wine], Anniversary Series old ale, and Black Tuesday), Filmishmish (a barrel-aged sour blond ale to which apricots have been added), Bottleworks XII (Imperial Berliner with raspberries), and Mischief (a hoppy/dry Belgian-style strong ale).
Needless to say, it's a night to either hire a taxi home or sweet-talk a designated driver to accompany. This is one where you'll want everything on tap... and they're all pretty hefty in the alcohol department.
