Space Chips: More dangerous than you think.
You think it's difficult trying to plan a holiday getaway now, just try to imagine booking a moon flight in 2043. All the shuttles will be filled to capacity, you'll have to fly coach (and you know that's even more annoying when you're weightless), and the only resorts with vacancies will be on the dark side -- and those places have the worst bars and restaurants.

According to WPTV and CNN, we could see moon travel within our lifetimes. Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic is predicting space travel for the public within the next 30 years or so. That leaves us the really big question:

What will we eat in space? It's no secret that our astronauts started out eating dehydrated meat and applesauce in a tube but now eat pretty much anything they want -- as long as it can be sealed in a bag. Future space travel will probably consist of much the same -- unless television and movie writers get their hands on the menu.

Then, all hell could break loose. From steak pills to space chips to humans -- here are our five favorite foods found in space.

5. Food Pills
Everyone's favorite space family, the Jetsons, didn't seem to enjoy their food that much. In stark contrast to their caveman counterparts, the Flintstones, who ate bronto burgers and giant racks of ribs, George Jetson and his family mostly ate space pills, which came in different flavors like steak and peas. Looks like they're pretty, filling, too!

4. People
Even after five decades, this Twilight Zone episode still gives us the creeps. When Kanamits come down to Earth and solve all our famine and war problems, we're pretty happy. Until they leave behind a cookbook. Turns out these giant aliens are playing Chopped -- and we're the secret ingredient!

3. Space Chips
When Homer Simpson smuggles potato chips aboard the space shuttle, he doesn't realize the havoc that ruffles can have. But hey, space tourists will need fun games to play during sea, err, space days between ports.

2. Space Odyssey Airplane Food
Who knew the future would bring back Pan Am airlines and give us carrots through a sippy straw? We'd take a job as a space flight attendant any time - if only to wear those anti-gravity shoes!

1. Tang
It's the official drink of both astronauts and moon men and it's still around after all these years. In fact, Tang is a breakaway hit, with 38 different flavors like hibiscus and guava being offered in Jamaica and Brazil. If it's that popular on earth, you can be sure it's going back to space!
