Chick-Phil-A Day in Support of Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Is Real

Quack, quack.
Dear lawd, please make it stop!

By now, everyone's familiar with the racist and homophobic remarks by Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson in a recent GQ interview and the subsequent backlash by civil rights organizations.

On December 18, A&E Networks suspended the 67-year-old duck-decoy mogul for his words that included comparing gay sex to bestiality and insinuating that black people were content under Jim Crow laws. Recently, the company rescinded the suspension, stating, "As a global media content company, A&E Networks' core values are centered around creativity, inclusion, and mutual respect." Which is network-speak for "we want to continue to make money off of these bearded weirdos that people seem to like."

But before the ban could be lifted, someone thought up a great idea:

Chick-Phil-A Day!

Because what better way to show your support for a reality star who uses religion as an excuse for homophobia than to eat at a fast-food restaurant that uses religion as an excuse for homophobia?

(Sigh...)

The rules for Chick-Phil-A Day are pretty easy:

On Tuesday, January 21, you can "stand up for free speech and sit for good food". Just:

1. Wear your Duck Commander or camouflage gear.

2. Eat at Chick-Fil-A.

3. Leave your duck hunting rifle at home. (We actually added this rule because it's the only thing that makes sense to Chick-Phil-A Day).

Whether or not you plan on going (there are more than 27,000 "likes" on the Facebook page and 167,000 RSVPs to this event/nonevent), you should read some of the comments posted. Here are a few of the best:

Where the hell does a gun loving , god fearing , gay bashing , camouflage wearing American get a chicken sandwich on a Sunday ?
Did y'all know that homosexuality runs rampant in both the chicken and duck communities?
Don't forget to bring the kids, and teach them that the only way to fight for your rights is to super-size your combo.

BUT: If your kids don't want to go to Chick Phil A Day, throw a fit and won't listen to you and curse you, you are more than welcome to put your children to death:

"All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense." (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

and our favorite:

Can we schedule a lunch at Burger King in February to support the guy from Hoarders?

Good times, good times.

The most important thing he supports Civil Straight Supremacy. That alone is a reason for good people not to want to employ him or want to employ him.

Omfg. Get over your bullshit self will you. #1 there was no comparison between gay sex and bestiality. #2 what he said is what he saw when he himself were working the fields picking cotton along side of them. He didn't say every African American, just them. But this is what asshole liberal dip shits like this writer does. They twist the words of people and hope you don't read for yourself the actual arrival they are misquoting. Just by the first paragraph of this article you can tell this writer has no real clue what was said.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm ignorant about on this issue. You have the reading comprehension of a first grader. He NEVER says homosexuality is the same as bestiality. He lumps the two in with a multitude of other sins. Also, I love how you don't think he has the right to speak for black people (that he knew and was friends with) but now 60 years later you know their state of mind.

Either way- "civil rights" groups are getting out of hand. You can't even express your opinion nowadays without someone bitching and crying about getting their feelings hurt. This is (supposed to be) the land of the free. It's a damn shame that speaking your opinion is becoming a right that we may no longer have. And if that's something you're ok with, wait until it affects you personally.

Phil is a HERO. This is America, we say what the FUCK we want. Some people need to stop getting so butthurt (pun intended) over the fact that not all of us support (or even cares about) gay marriage. Guess what- who gives a shit! Does what Phil have to say affect your life? No. So stfu and stop being a bunch of pussies!

I am very tolerant of ignorance. Im just calling you out on it. I apologize if you are offended. However, phil does talk about all black people because after he talks about the black people he knew he goes on to infer that now with welfare black people aren't happy or godly. I know many successful, master degree holding people who are still very close-minded on many social issues. Fact is that pre-civil rights was not a good time for black people and being homosexual is not equal to bestiality.

Make it a month, then we won't have to worry about those people any more

Thanks for name calling Erin and proving my point that liberals preach tolerance only if you agree with their opinion. He never said they were HAPPIER, just that the people AROUND HIM were happy. Reading comprehension is a great thing. If you want to lump me in with a self made millionaire who holds a Masters Degree, stands up for his religious beliefs even when it could potentially lose him millions of dollars, whose company makes a quality product (that he invented and holds the patent on), I'll take it.

Um he said black people were happier people in the days of segregation....i dont think he has the right to speak for black people...go on being ignorant like phil Allison Little Cosens

I'm going. Can't wait. By the way, if you take the time to read the Robertson interview (not just what CNN tells you he said), he doesn't say anything the least bit racist. Does he disagree with homosexuality? Yes. Does that make him phobic? Nope.

Did he really? Guess you didnt read the artical or you would know he was talking about the people he worked with. NOT all "black people"
