Beer love. Nothing like it!
Thousands of people, some wearing viking helmets and lederhosen, descended on Coconut Grove's Peacock Park for the third-annual Grovetoberfest.

This celebration of beer featured more than 200 different beers -- all available to sample at no extra charge. Brews ranged from limited-edition and seasonal offerings from large commercial breweries to craft beers from boutique establishments, including many local brewers who brought out their best beers to share with thirsty fans.

Funky Buddha made the trip from Oakland Park, tapping a special beer each hour, including its "how-do-they-do-that" No Crusts, a PB&J-flavored ale. The Blueberry Cobbler ale had rich cinnamon and vanilla notes to balance the fruit, while the More Moro Blood Orange IPA was the perfect beer for a hot Florida afternoon.

Due South got into the fall spirit with their Caramel Cream Ale, which had specks of vanilla bean in the head (just like your favorite ice cream); and the Isle of MaGordo, what could possibly be the best pumpkin ale we've had in a while.

Davie's Mack House gave us all a Panic Attack!

When we ran into the Opus guys last week, they promised a hot pink beer in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. They delivered.

Their Travierso, made with prickly pears, has a deep rose hue and a sweet/tart finish. If you've ever been to Arizona and picked up the souvenir prickly pear jellies sold in gift shops, then you have an absolute idea what this beer tastes like.
