South Florida Food and Drink Events This Week: Funky Buddha, Lots of Cheese, and More
It looks like the almighty food gods have descended upon Broward and Palm Beach counties this week -- well, if such a thing exists. We are chock full of culinary activities to occupy you on your working days. Whether you want to socialize with Funky Buddha, sip some wine, or get your cheese on in multiple ways, there is something interesting in the palate department this week.

Beer dinners are kind of a big deal right now. Unfortunately, they're kind of expensive, really filling, and they force you to sit in one place for hours on end. Beer socials, on the other hand, pair lots of light bites with many different beers and allow you the freedom you need to move around after sitting on your caboose all day. On Monday night at 7 p.m. d.b.a./ cafe is hosting a Funky Buddha beer social, which includes seven courses paired with seven beers for $25 per person. To purchase tickets visit fbb-dbabeersocial.eventbrite.com.
d.b.a./ cafe is located at 2364 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-565-3392, or visit dba2z.com.
It hotter than hell: here's your chance to get a steamy firefighter to cool you down. On Monday night Glam-A-THON™ is teaming up with Grille 401 and some sizzling firefighters to raise money for local women fighting breast cancer. Taking place from 6 to 8 p.m., the event features light bites, wine, and, hot firefighters from South Florida Firefighter Calendar Men. The $50 ticket price benefits Broward Health Foundation. Grille 401 is located at 401 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-767-0222, or visit glam-a-thon.com.
