Rick Mace Takes the Reigns at Cafe Boulud
Obviously, some are more prestigious than others.
We're not exactly going to make an announcement when a new kitchen manager takes over the burners at Applebee's.
Daniel Boulud has announced that Rick Mace is stepping in to take his place as executive chef.
Mace, who has worked for Boulud in the past, recently left his post of executive chef of the boutique hotel RT Lodge in Maryville, Tennessee.
A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, he moved on to spend time at award-winning institutions, such as Butler's Restaurant at The Inn at Essex in Vermont and Barona Valley Resort in San Diego.
Mace joined Chef Daniel Boulud's restaurant group as executive sous chef at Daniel Boulud Brasserie in The Wynn Resort Las Vegas in 2007. He spent three years working with Boulud and the Corporate Executive Chef to develop the restaurant's menu and charcuterie program.
"It is with great pleasure that I announce Rick's new role as Executive Chef at Café Boulud, Palm Beach," says Boulud. "Rick served as an excelled chef partner at our property in Las Vegas, and we always hoped there would be an opportunity to solicit his talents again for the group. We welcome him to our Palm Beach mainstay, where we know he will be valued."
Cafe Boulud is located at 301 Australian Ave. in Palm Beach. Call 561-655-6060, or visit danielnyc.com.
