Chef Oliver Saucy on Café Maxx's New Brunch, Healthier Options: "It's All About Balance"

Ah, brunch. It's relaxing, rejuvenating, and refreshing; the perfect antidote to your aching case of the Sunday morning blues.

Fortunately for you -- and your terrible headache -- South Florida is full of hundreds of brunch options ranging from raging all-you-can-drink parties to chic and sophisticated.

One of Broward County's premier restaurants just started up a new brunch program of its own. Darrel and Oliver's Café Maxx has created a brunch menu, which includes inventive healthy and classic -- i.e. hangover repairing -- dishes.

We spoke to Café Maxx chef and co-owner Oliver Saucy about the new service and his favorite dishes.

"We have been talking about it for a long time as our brunch from the late Darrel & Oliver's East City Grill was a big hit; our customers are still bringing it up after more than ten years, " said Saucy. "Also, Pompano Beach on the east side of Atlantic Boulevard up to the beach as been redone and looks great, not to mention the front of the restaurant has been renovated, as well. it just seemed like a perfect time to dive in."
