Steve Martorano Planning Second Vegas Location, Another in Atlantic City

Where will Martorano bring his balls next? Monte Carlo? Macau? It's anyone's guess.
Only a day after showing Jimmy Kimmel how to pull his fresh, warm, creamy mozzarella Steve Martorano has announced he's planning a second Las Vegas restaurant in the Paris Hotel slated for spring 2014.

The 200-seat restaurant will offer a large bar and patio, with a clubby design similar to Martorano's Fort Lauderdale and Rio outposts. Expect a fully outfitted DJ booth pumping out R&B, disco, slow jams and some classic rock, as well as flat screen TVs playing Scarface and other gangster classics.

The restaurant at the Paris is a kind of coup for Martorano, as it will be his first restaurant on the strip. The Rio is located about a half mile east of it. He will join celebrity chef bad boy Gordon Ramsay, who opened his first Las Vegas restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Steak, in the Paris in May 2012.

Meanwhile, Martorano's namesake restaurant in the Rio Hotel celebrated its sixth anniversary in mid May and Steve Hall, a spokesperson for Martorano, said he's also eyeing an Atlantic City restaurant.

"More than likely it will be with Harrah's Entertainment," Hall said. "They own the Rio and the Paris."

Harrah's more than 2,500-room hotel in AC is the company's flagship property, and only a stone's throw from South Philly where Martorano was born, raised and made his bones as a DJ and chef.

If you find yourself in Vegas next spring, are close to the Paris and in the need of a no-nonsense meal that'll fill you up just as well as Ma's cooking you know where to go. If you can time it right, you might even have the chance to see Steve spin a few tunes.
