South Florida Food & Drink Events This Week: Sweet Sixteens, '70's Celebrations, Plenty of Beer, and More
While it could have been much worse, this weekend ended up being a bit of a wet one. Hopefully, your big plans didn't get lost in the rain -- or you chose to bring an umbrella. Either way, if you're looking to make up for time -- and fun -- lost on your days off, we have plenty of activities that will wet your palate this workweek. If you're looking to catch up on drinking some beer, celebrate birthdays, or dress up like the '70's, we have something for you in Broward in Palm Beach until you hit Friday again.
Italian Cooking Class With D'Angelo
Classes are all about absorbing new information. Fortunately, some are more entertaining than others -- ones that include eating and drinking tend to top the fun list. Executive chef Rickie Piper of the highly regarded D'Angelo restaurants is hosting a cooking class at Chef Jean-Pierre's Cooking School at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The $85 class will take guests through five courses of Italian dishes -- and tastings.
Chef Jean-Pierre's Cooking Class is located at 1436 Federal Hgwy in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-563-2700, or visit chefjeanpierre.com.
Cigar City & Widmer Release of Gentleman's Club and Meet the Brewer
Cooperation tends to make things better, especially when it involves beer. On Monday at 6 p.m., Tap 42 is hosting a tap takeover for the release of the highly anticipated Cigar City and Widmer collaboration, Gentlemen's Club. The bar will feature three of the wood aged gentlemen's club beers, as well as a slew of other Cigar City and Widmer options.
Tap 42 is located at 1411 S. Andrews Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-463-4900, or visit tap42.com.
