Zimmerman Defense Attorney Celebrates With Ice Cream, Maybe Inappropriate Instagram
Here at Clean Plate, we aren't annoyed by those who obsessively Instagram photos of their food. We love it. We search out Instagram foodies to follow.
But sometimes we find photos that remind us, the internet is a dangerous place. On the one hand, once something is out there, it's out there forever, amplifying in an endless echo-chamber. On the other hand, it's easy to doctor a photo to look like something it isn't and that echoing, eternal something, is really a big ol' nothing.
So, is this really inappropriate Instagram hashtagging from the daughter of George Zimmerman's defense attorney, Don West the real deal? Or just someone doctoring up an image to make it look like something it's not?
In an imitation of the public reaction to the Zimmerman case itself -- and to pretty much every newstory and political issue currently in existence -- the internet is immediately and fiercely divided and extremely communicative about their instantaneously entrenched opinions.
The photo is innocent enough. It allegedly shows Zimmerman's defense attorney Don West allegedly enjoying what appears to be an ice cream cone with two young blond women, one of whom is presumably his daughter after what one might assume (but not legally imply) was a grueling day in court vis-à-vis general internet consensus.
What's got the Twitterati all, well, atwitter is the rather insensitive caption and hashtagging.
