It's hot. Have a drink!
Yes, it's been hotter than hell for weeks already; however, the weather just made itself official. In celebration of the recently passed summer solstice, we have plenty of gluttonous events for you this week. If you're looking for something cold to drink -- beer, wine, whatever -- we have a perfectly valid excuse for you, aside from the weather, with our list of food and drink events in Broward and Palm Beach.

To raise money for Share Our Strength, the West Palm Beach Marriott is hosting a bake sale for Share Our Strengths No Kid Hungry campaign. Taking place Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm, the event will include baked goods from local chefs and citizens. It will be held in conjunction with Bistro 1001's monthly party in the garden. Chefs will be moving out of the kitchen and onto the grills to cook while listening to live music. This month's theme is tropical fish fry.

Jumping off Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Grease Burger Bar, beer & balls hopes to bring young professional craft beer lovers and sports enthusiasts together for a new social group. The cost to attend is $10 at the door, $5 in advance. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and an Ommegang craft beer tasting is included.
