Steve's Charity Pizza Challenge
It's a battle royale that pits three local charities against each other for the chance to receive a percentage of the pie. Pizza pies, that is. On Tuesday, at 6 p.m. at Steve's Wood Fired Pizza the Tri-County Humane Society, the Pap Corps, and Catherine's Hope for a Cure will be cooking off their featured pizzas and will be judged in a winner takes all--actually a percentage--competition. The winning charities' pie will be featured on Steve's menu for a month and will receive a portion of the pies proceeds. Visit the event facebook page here.
Hands-On Mozzarella Making
Nothing is better than fresh hand-pulled mozzarella--okay, well, maybe a couple things. If you're looking to learn how to make some fresh cheese of your own, Mancini's Modern Italian is hosting a hands-on mozzarella class this and every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Taught by Executive Chef Claudio Sandri, the $30 class includes a complimentary glass of wine, an antipasto sampling, and, well, the opportunity to learn to make your own mozzarella. Enjoy half-off any bottle of wine if you stay for dinner after the class. Call 754-200-8602.

Sugar them up this week with Clarabelle's Cupcakes on Character Wednesdays at Baby Posh Garage at 11:30 a.m. The event offers kids the chance to take pics with some of their favorite characters while noshing down on some cupcakes. The event is $10. Baby Posh Garage is located at 1249 Stirling Road in Dania Beach. Call 954-927-7674.
