OpenTable Names Sundy House, the Breakers Among the 100 Best Brunches in the U.S.
Brunch has always been the best meal of the week, where you can get together with friends and dine for hours on unlimited amounts of food. Plus, it's one of the few times it's socially acceptable to drink before 5 o'clock.
Historic Sundy House is one of the best brunch restaurants in the U.S.
It's no secret that South Florida restaurants serve some of the best brunches in the country, and OpenTable diners have confirmed that by naming eight Florida restaurants among the best in the U.S.
OpenTable, the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, tabulated the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable users for more than 15,000 restaurants in America. The best brunch restaurants were found in 26 states and Washington, D.C. And even though California and New York had the most restaurants on the list, the Sunshine State placed a most respectable third.
Two Palm Beach brunches were singled out for their selection and deliciousness. The Circle Brunch at the Breakers made the list for its total opulence and decadence (can anyone say "more than two dozen desserts"?). At $90 per person, it's a splurge-worthy place for special occasions (like "it's Sunday").
Sundy House was also named as a "best brunch restaurant." With carving stations, mountains of fresh seafood, fruit straight from the garden, and unlimited champagne -- all executed by Top Chef alum Lindsay Autry -- we concur that this is a brunch not to be missed.
The Florida restaurants named in the list are:
94th Aero Squadron (Miami)
Bananas Modern American Diner (Orlando)
Biltmore Brunch (Coral Gables)
Circle Brunch at the Breakers (Palm Beach)
Mister Collins (Bal Harbor)
Peacock Garden Cafe (Coconut Grove)
Sundy House (Delray Beach)
