The first ever Galt Mile Wine & Food Festival is this weekend!

In case you missed the overwhelming extravaganza that was the South Beach Wine & Food Festival -- or the Alka Seltzer did its trick and you're planning where to go this weekend, take note Fort Lauderdale because the inaugural Galt Mile Wine & Food Festival - A Seaside Affair! is coming your way.

This Saturday, March 2 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., the Galt Ocean Mile Shoppes (3351-3531 Galt Ocean Drive, Fort Lauderdale) will fill with about 20 of south Florida's best chefs offering endless amounts of food.

Participating restaurants include Cafe Vico; da Campo Osteria; Lenore Nolan Ryan Cooking School & Catering; Texas de Brazil; Tokyo Blue; Sunfish Grill; Shooters Waterfront Cafe; Blue Martini; Chart House: and Cafe Vico Ristorante.

If you're going to be a wine and food festival, you've got to have plenty of vino, and the Galt Mile festival will feature over 50 wines, six beers, and Tito's Handmade vodka.

Tickets for the event are $40 in advance, $70 at the door and can be purchased online. Ticket prices include all food and beverages. I.D. is required at entry. Children under 21 are allowed at the festival and will be provided with a different wristband.
