South Florida Food & Drink Events This Weekend: Garlic Fest, Greek Festival, and More
Can you smell it? The weekend is almost here, and with it comes a mini avalanche of special food and drink events in Broward and Palm Beach counties (not the least of which is the three-day Garlic Fest in Delray Beach). While your friends up north are digging out from a blizzard, find out how you'll be spending the next few days with suggestions listed after the jump.

5. Food trucks in Miramar
Gourmet Truck Expo is hosting more than 20 food trucks this evening (Thursday) at Miramar Square (12162 Miramar Parkway). The rally is 6 to 10 p.m. with trucks like Boba Station, Dog Eat Dog, Killer Pasta, Mr. Good Stuff, Overload Food Truck, Top Fries, and more. Local businesses will participate and there will be family-friendly entertainment.
4. Science of Chocolate
Science is awesome enough on its own, but couple it with the deliciousness of chocolate and you've got a formula that even the kids won't be able to resist. The South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach will explore the wonders of the cocoa bean during the Science of Chocolate. The event is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $8.95 to $11.95.
3. Greek Festival
Opa! It's time to get down to some serious eating and dancing at this weekend's Fort Lauderdale Greek Festival hosted by St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. The festival is noon to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults and free to kids ages 12 and younger. Traditional Greek food and drink will be available for purchase, with dishes like spanakopita, gyros, and dolmades on the menu.
