Romance Your Sweetie With Riverwalk's "Love in the Park" Valentine's Dinner in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

It's already time to start thinking about the next holiday and Valentine's Day -- Thursday February 14 -- is it.

In fact, you might already have noticed red and pink heart-shaped boxes on a stand in the store as you stood online exchanging a Christmas gift.

America, land of perpetual holidays.

So, you might as well give in and start making plans. Sure you could go for the classic romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Or you could do something a little more unique for the object of your heart's desire. Perhaps, a quiet dinner in the open air, under the stars.

This will be only the second annual LOVE in the Park event hosted by Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale in scenic Huizenga Plaza.

Catered by Publix Aprons Event Planning Catering the dinner includes a bottle of wine . The entire dinner is created by the Publix Aprons chefs who normally spend their days teaching other to cook.

According to Caitlin Fahey of the Riverwalk Trust, around 500 people -- or 250 couples -- will be served. Also, local Miami singer Cat Shell will be performing the evening's musical accompaniment -- no awkward violinist that stands too long by your table here.

Sit by the New River and let Cat Shell serenade you, while you whisper sweet nothings in your loved one's ear. You are officially the most romantic Valentine ever and will earn endless karma points with your sweetie.

Seating begin at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner runs as late 10 p.m. Tickets for two are $80 for general seating and $125 for the VIP section. Not only is it a good deal for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, but a portion of the proceeds will benefit Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale.
