BaconFest is coming to town.

BaconFest Florida is coming to town!

Now that we have your attention, BaconFest, which is exactly what it sounds like (a celebration of all things pig-related), is coming to the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Saturday, February 23 at 6 p.m.

This event, which is (duh) popular in Chicago, Kansas City and New York, is finally making its way to south Florida.

Chef Todd Fischer from Discovery's Destination America show United States of Bacon will host the event, which features bacon-inspired food from 20 south Florida restaurants, a chef throw-down where toques must make the best dishes in both sweet and savory categories, and other fun bacon-related activities (we're not sure what that means -- but we're in).
Festival goers can also play carnival games and enjoy a "hog" bike show.  Best of all, there's a live concert with performances by the Dan Band with Dan Finnerty (also known as the wedding singer from the movie Old School), and a special performance by The Bacon Brothers. That's right, people. Go to this event and you'll be one degree of separation from Kevin Bacon -- that's one degree of Bacon!

Tickets to this event are $25 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.  The event is open to people 21 and over, only.
