BaconFest Coming To Seminole Casino Coconut Creek: Gettin Piggy With It
|BaconFest is coming to town.|
Now that we have your attention, BaconFest, which is exactly what it sounds like (a celebration of all things pig-related), is coming to the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Saturday, February 23 at 6 p.m.
This event, which is (duh) popular in Chicago, Kansas City and New York, is finally making its way to south Florida.
Chef Todd Fischer from Discovery's Destination America show United States of Bacon will host the event, which features bacon-inspired food from 20 south Florida restaurants, a chef throw-down where toques must make the best dishes in both sweet and savory categories, and other fun bacon-related activities (we're not sure what that means -- but we're in).
Tickets to this event are $25 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. The event is open to people 21 and over, only.
If you're a restaurant owner who wants to participate in the event, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. We do know that you'll be provided with free bacon so you can let your creativity run free.
Stay tuned to Clean Plate Charlie for a list of participating restaurants and more information, as we receive it.
