Five South Florida Food-Related Events This Weekend: Taste History Culinary Tour, Roxy's Beerfest, and More
Need a break from drinking and eating and drinking and eating some more? Well, too bad. There's more to be done in the food and drink department this weekend, and it doesn't necessarily involve turkey sandwiches. After the jump, find five food and drink related activities going down this weekend in Broward and Palm Beach counties. As a side, note that Saturday is Small Business Saturday, making it an excellent weekend to shop at local foodie favorites like Riverside Market, Cheese Culture, or your local farmers market.

5. $10 wine flights
Tuscany Wines in Fort Lauderdale is hosting an easy-on-the-wallet Wine Bar Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Get a special wine tasting flight for $10 or come during happy hour (6 to 7 p.m.) and get two for one house wines. There'll be cheese plates and small bites to nosh on as well. Tuscany Wines is located at 6208 N. Federal Hwy.
4. Oskar Blues CANiversary
Need an antidote to Black Friday insanity? World of Beer in Coconut Creek is hosting a celebration of Oskar Blues tenth anniversary of putting craft beer into cans. The bar will offer $4 cans of Dale's Pale Ale and Mama's Little Yella Pils throughout the day today.
3. Holiday festivities
Thanksgiving is gone. Yeah, the leftovers live on, but it's time to look ahead to the next block of holiday fun. For instance, tonight (Friday) is the City of Boca Raton's Holiday Lighting Extravaganza from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in Mizner Park Amphitheater. In addition to Santa, an ice sculpture demonstration, and tree lighting, there'll be holiday food and drinks on offer. Or, Saturday morning, the Publix Apron's Cooking School in Boca Raton will host a gingerbread house decorating event at 10 a.m. The cost is $50 for a family of up to four people. There must be at least one adult in the group and kids should be four years or older. Register online.
2. Taste History Culinary Tour
Mix a little history and culture with a progressive meal around Delray Beach and Boynton Beach and you get the Taste History Culinary Tour. When Clean Plate Charlie took the tour earlier this year, the stops included everything from a roadside rib joint to a community garden cafe. The tour will last three to four hours and starts at 11 a.m. Saturday. Meet outside of the east Macy's entrance at the Boynton Beach Mall at 10:45 a.m. The cost is $35 per person. Call 561-243-2662. 1. Roxy's Beerfest
It's all brews and balls at the fourth annual Roxy's Beerfest from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday in West Palm Beach. The street festival will feature more than 50 craft beers, DJs, beer pong, food, and photobooths. Earlier in the day, a big outdoor screen will broadcast the Florida versus Florida State game, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Call 561-296-ROXY. The party will be held along the 300 block of Clematis Street.
