South Florida Dining Events This Week: Best of Boca & Beyond and More
Tricia Woolfenden Tucci's is serving up at Best of Boca and Beyond this week.
After a gut-busting, food-coma-inducing weekend filled with festivals, fests, and fairs, this week provides a bit of solace in the way of chill food- and drink-related activities (that should still entertain the palate). After the jump, find a roundup of South Florida food events on tap this week in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Food truck invasion in Plantation: Plantation hosts a weekly food truck invasion from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Plantation Heritage Park. There's no cost to attend the family-friendly event, but bring cash to purchase snacks and dinner from the ever-changing lineup of food trucks.
Master sommelier at wine tasting: Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy is known for attracting the cream of the crop. In addition to Philip herself, the venue hosts frequent lectures and tastings with some of the most experienced winos in the industry. On Tuesday, the academy will host John Blazon, a master sommelier with Spire Wines. The six-wine tasting event will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $40 per person.
Due South Beer Dinner : Due South Brewing (which is great, by the way; if you haven't yet tried it, get yourself to the tasting room in Boynton Beach) will be featured in a special four-course beer dinner at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Pompano Beach. Call 954-942-5550 to reserve a spot and for more details.
