Got some cash to spare? Casa D'Angelo is throwing a swanky five-course wine dinner on Election Night.

So, there's this whole election thing happening this week. Monday
Wilton Manors Taste of the Island: Try samplings from local restaurants from 6 to 9 p.m. at the seventh annual Taste of the Island in Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve in Wilton Manors. Tickets are $30 per person. Local restaurants like Blue Martini, Pinche Taqueria, Naked Grape Wine Bar, the Abili, and many more, will be represented at the event.

Tuesday

Food truck invasion in Plantation: The west side of Broward hosts a weekly food truck invasion from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Plantation Heritage Park. There's no cost to attend the family-friendly event, but bring cash to purchase snacks and dinner.

Castello Banfi Wine Dinner: Casa D'Angelo in Fort Lauderdale will host a five-course wine dinner starting at 7 p.m. Luciano Castiello (the U.S. brand ambassador for Castello Banfi) will introduce each wine pairing, with dishes like pan-seared jumbo scallops and grilled veal tenderloin on the menu. Wednesday

Dogfish Head Brewery dinner: If you're a hardcore Dogfish Head fan, act fast to reserve a spot at the DFH taps and tapas dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sweetwater Bar and Grill in Boynton Beach. The evening will include six beers paired with tapas, with combos like Bitches Brew (a limited edition offering, and a damned fine one at that) with a bratwurst in a Bitches Brew reduction. The cost is $55 per person and doors open to registered attendees at 4 p.m. There's a limit of 35 spaces, so act fast if you want any chance of scoring a seat.
