There's word that former Alaska governor Sarah Palin -- known in the foodie world for her moose stew recipe and love of fresh-caught (and we do mean "caught") organic fare -- will be penning her own fitness and food-related book.
According to People magazine online, Palin called the project a "unique and motivating book...on fitness and self-discipline," and made mention of her family's love of "homemade comfort foods."
While there's no word on whether or not a deal to publish the book is in the works, we can't help but wonder what she's planning on cooking up. No hint at a title, but Palin made one promise in her quote from People: "What...we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy."
We just hope she'll include some tips on how to skin a fresh kill, or maybe a "how-to" for deboning wild-caught Alaskan salmon....
Just in case Palin is in a creative rut, here's a few ideas for a future title:
Suggested Title No. 3: Wilderness-to-Table: Go Hunting and Eat Organic
Forget farm-to-table -- how about the Wild Alaskan wilderness? Although there's some footage out there that suggests otherwise (specifically of Palin attempting to shoot a caribou and missing not once, but several times
), the ex guv has been quoted many, many
times in reference to her love of shooting and catching wild, edible animals. Sort of like that one time -- in Reno, Nevada last year -- when she addressed the Annual Club Safari International Hunter's Convention, and told its members she eats, "organic -- we just have to shoot it first. And it comes wrapped in fur, not cellophane."
In that vein of thought, we think this is one possible title that could work...
