Friday night -- as in, tonight -- they're introducing a new "Meet the Artist" series where art and music are matched with wine and cheese. This week kicks off with an introduction to Katlyn Hubner and music by guitarist Carlos Gonzalez. The event is 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
4. Seasonal favorites are back in full swing
In another sure sign of autumn, farmers' markets are making a return. This Saturday, the Boca Raton Green Market opens for the season from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The popular weekly market returns to its location at the corner of S. Federal Highway and S. Mizner Boulevard in Royal Palm Place. In addition to vendors selling plants, produce, and prepared foods, the market hosts live music. This weekend's entertainment is courtesy the Sheffield Brothers Band.
Another seasonal favorite, the SunTrust Sunday Jazz Brunch, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Riverwalk Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Local jazz artists will hit four stages and brunch will be served in the Einstein reception room and the Peck Courtyard. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to attend.
