Free Pollo Tropical for a Year Contest Asks Fans to "Shake It" (Video)

Even if you don't look this good in hot pants, you can still try to win the bounty.

What would you be willing to do for a chance to win free food for a year? If gyrating your hips to a mildly sexed-up version of the Chicken Dance and sharing the result with a possibly worldwide audience isn't a deal breaker, consider the latest giveaway from Pollo Tropical.

Now through October 15 the Miami-based chicken fast-food chain is asking Facebook fans to upload videos of themselves dancing the "pollo shake" to Pollo Tropical's Facebook page. What, you ask, is the "pollo shake"? For one winner, it will be the shoulder-shimmying key to a lot of free beans, rice, and curry mustard. To see the actual dance routine -- and "routine" might be a bit of an overstatement here -- watch the video below.

Once you've got the basic steps down, download the "pollo shake" theme and record yourself dancing to the beat. Then, upload that video to Pollo's Facebook page. Next, share the hell out of the link with friends who will not only laugh at you but also feel enough sympathy to vote for your routine and ask others to do the same. The person with the most votes wins.

First prize is a year of free meals at Pollo Tropical. The winner gets a choice of one of three meals: quarter chicken with two sides, a TropiChop, or a sandwich or wrap combo. Second-place winner gets a classic Pollo catering package for 15 people. Third place gets a free family meal.

Note that the contest is open only to residents of Florida and Georgia who are 18 years and older. Only one video per person can be entered.
