Executive Chef Steven Zobel is Said to Be Leaving East End Brasserie

Steven Zobel is leaving East End Brasserie
When East End Brasserie opened at the Atlantic Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale about a year ago, its menu pages featured French-inspired dishes with foie gras and escargots. Now, they include an eclectic variety of international fare: spicy Korean Bon Chon chicken wings, pizzette, and even fettuccine pomodoro.

A restaurant manager confirmed that the restaurant is in transition. He said that executive Chef Steven Zobel is leaving, and will be opening his own restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

A server also offered an unsolicited explanation for the changes: "We had to change the menu a while ago," he explained. "People just weren't into the whole French thing."

It seems the restaurant is in the midst of an identity crisis.
