Publix in West Palm Beach To Be Torn Down, Rebuilt
| Village Commons via Facebook |
| Publix at Village Commons is getting a complete do over. |
Woolbright Development, owners of the 23 year-old multi-use shopping center, is awaiting final plans from Publix headquarters, but expects planning to take another six - nine months before the store closes during demolition and rebuilding, at an estimated cost of around $4 million. The new Publix is expected to open by the end of 2013.
The shopping center, however, is working hard to attract and keep customers with events like food truck roundups and a social media presence on Facebook.
