Shula Burgers Will Open in Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach This Fall
![]() |
"Fast gourmet burgers in a casual place that serves booze" is what Shula's wife, Mary Anne, also the CEO for Shula Steak Houses, suggested for the concept.
At Shula Burger, a 5.3-ounce burger is made of brisket, black Angus, and short rib. "The Don" is perhaps the most decadent concoction of a burger that arrives with a hot dog on top, served with pickles, American cheese, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a brioche bun. The menu also offers eight signature burgers and the option to make your own.
The first Shula Burger in Islamorada debuted in January for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also offers a full bar, though future shops will be limited to beer and wine during lunch and dinner.
Once Fort Lauderdale's is open, another shop is scheduled for Delray Beach at West Atlantic Boulevard and Lyons Road. The company is in negotiations to open ten Shula Burgers in Miami-Dade and Broward in the next year, with a goal to open hundreds across the country.
