Publix to Reopen in Pompano Beach
| Laine Doss |
| Publix will reopen in Pompano Beach with a host of amenities, including a florist. |
This new store replaces the original Publix on the site, which opened in 1967 and was closed last April. The old building was completely torn down to make way for this larger version of the popular supermarket chain.
The completely redesigned store will offer customers 54,000 square feet of groceries, meat, dairy, and produce. In addition to the regular provisions found in a typical market, the Pompano Beach Publix will offer a bakery, deli, florist, seafood, sushi counter, pharmacy, and liquor store.
A host of prepared foods will also be offered, including pan-Asian foods like General Tso chicken and fried rice, a soup bar, and artisan salads. The store will also feature an olive bar and has expanded its organic food selection.
The new Publix will employ about 200 associates, bringing a host of new jobs to the community.
Publix, Pompano Shopping Center, 2511 E. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach.
