Las Olas Wine and Food Festival Scheduled for April 20

The 17th-annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival is slated for Friday, April 20, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. with 70 participating restaurants and 45 tables of beer, wine, and liquor to help you get your drink on. Proceeds from the $100 ticket price are donated to the American Lung Association.

During the week leading up to the festival, a series of events ushers in the big day. Tap 42 will host Bourbon and Burgers on Monday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m.. For $42, participants will sample burger from the restaurant and sip bourbons from Angel's Envy, Old Forester,Woodford Reserve, and Hudson.

Riverside Hotel will host a Spanish wine and tapas pairing for $40 a person from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, inside Preston's Martini Lounge.

Tuscan Grill throws a Banfi vintner's party on Thursday, April 19, from 7 to 11 p.m. for $65 for food, beer, and wine, or $85 with liquor.

And for the hangover helper, the Cheese Culture will feature the Rise and Shine Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $35 a person, which includes mimosas and a decadent meat, cheese, and egg spread.

New Times will also be among this year's participants by hosting the cupcake battle the day of the fest, featuring a handful of bakeries competing for best tasting, best decorated, and the fan favorite of the festival.
